Craig N. Newton, PE

Sr. Vice President/Director of Federal Programs

Craig began his career with H&A as a mechanical engineer in 1980. Desiring to broaden his experience and expertise outside the firm, Craig spent a 14-year period outside of H&A. He returned in 1998 to serve as the mechanical department head and vice president. Craig developed an innovative organizational model for the firm’s technical department that led to the formation of his current position as director of federal programs, and in 2006 he was promoted to senior vice president.

With his strategic leadership style, Craig helped strengthen the Federal Civilian Agency Market with an annual growth rate of 27% over the past six years. He currently serves as the H&A representative on the executive management committee for ESA (Engineered Systems Alliance), an LLC formed by Truland Systems, Pierce Associates, and H&A to provide turnkey design-build mechanical and electrical services.

Craig graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelors in mechanical engineering. He is an active member of the Federal Agencies and Procurement Advisory Committee.
