Media General Parking Garage

This project involved the redevelopment of two city blocks in the historic Capital District of downtown Richmond, Virginia, for Media General, one of the nation's largest communications companies.

The firm designed the seven-level, 668-space parking structure to resemble an office building. The parking is shared with the Richmond Times Dispatch newspaper facility, a subsidiary, located across the street and is connected via underground tunnel. The parking structure’s facade blends with the new Media General Headquarters building, which was designed with architectural details that complement the historic fabric of the area and the adjacent 1920’s era Richmond Times Dispatch building.
