Central Campus, Fort Lee, VA
An integral piece of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program, Central Campus at Fort Lee, Virginia, consists of five buildings with more than 774,000 square feet of state-of-the-art ordnance training facilities for the new home of the Army’s Wheel and Tracked Vehicle Maintenance and Training School that provides Army personnel a state-of-the-art environment for maintenance training of Army vehicles. The project was awarded LEED® Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The collaborative efforts of the design-build team, which included Balfour Beatty, HNTB, and H&A, resulted in completion of the facility a full three months ahead of schedule.
